Finder View Options (OS 10.11.3)

I am trying to arrange my folders and their sub-folders in such a way:

• Always open in Icon View
• Browse in Icon View
• Arrange By: Kind
• Sort By: Name
• Icon Size: 64
• Grid Space: Sixth Line
• Text Size: 12
• Label Position: Bottom
• Show Item Info
• Show Item Preview
• Background: None / White

However, the "Use as Defaults" doesn't seem to be working. It only sets it for that particular folder and not the sub-folders and other folders.
