hi Is Any Quick Patch Available For iTunes?

hi I require a patch or some kind of a workable fix immediately; due to iTunes overheating my MacBook Air . I suppose its not at all my computers fault; no surprise in that quarter; its that I live in a place thats almost right next to ocean; where temperatures are insanely hot .
