I have moved my photo library from my iMac to an external hard disk and set the new location as the system photo library. I previously used iCloud photo library set to "download originals to this mac" on the internal hard disk, so I could have a complete backup on my mac as well as viewing them in the cloud across all my devices.
Now when I turn on iCloud within photos it prompts me to upgrade to the next storage plan (from 200GB to 1TB) as an additional 172GB is required. My photo...
